About The Brand

The core offering is the gym apparel, but the business also provides value to customer through a free mobile app that acts as a digital coach, offering for gym drill and workout guidance. This integrated approach combines the physical product with a digital service to enhance the customer experience and potentially drive sales of the apparel.

Letting strength shape the experience

For a fitness brand rooted in strength, resilience, and African identity, the visual experience needed to feel as powerful as the products themselves. We created a bold and cohesive visual system that brings MbokoFit’s character to life across its digital and marketing touchpoints, using strong typography, distinctive visuals, and purposeful design to create a brand that feels confident, recognisable, and built to last.

About the brand

How we approached this project

We set out to make MbokoFit’s bold character feel as powerful and confident as the brand itself. By combining a strong visual language with expressive typography, distinctive elements, and an identity rooted in African strength, we created a cohesive brand experience built around resilience, authenticity, and movement.

01Built Around Strength & African IdentityWe translated MbokoFit’s bold African character into the visual system through strong typography, distinctive visual elements, and a confident identity designed to feel as powerful as the apparel.

02Connected Product With Digital ExperienceBecause MbokoFit extends beyond apparel into a free digital coaching experience, we created a visual language that could work seamlessly across the clothing, mobile app, website, and supporting brand communications.

03Designed to Move With the BrandThe identity was built as a flexible system rather than a single logo, combining multiple logo arrangements, typography, colour, and pattern to keep MbokoFit recognisable wherever the brand shows up.

Key UX challenges and how we solved them

Creating a market-ready experience for MbokoFit meant translating the boldness, strength, and African identity of the brand into a cohesive digital experience. Here is how we approached the core design challenges to create a visual system that feels powerful, resilient, and unmistakably MbokoFit.

Building a Strong Visual Identity

MbokoFit needed a visual identity that could communicate its strength and African roots while remaining simple and memorable. We developed a distinctive logo suite, bold typography, and a strong colour palette that gives the brand a recognisable presence across its digital and physical touchpoints.

Bringing African Strength Into the Design

The African identity of MbokoFit was an important part of the brand and needed to feel authentic without overwhelming the design. We introduced purposeful visual elements and a brand pattern that draw from this identity, giving the overall system more character while reinforcing the brand’s sense of strength and resilience.

Creating Consistency Across Every Touchpoint

With MbokoFit extending across its website, mobile application, social media, and marketing materials, consistency was essential. We established a unified system of logos, colours, typography, and patterns that allows the brand to remain recognisable wherever it appears, while giving it the flexibility to grow with the business.
